The winner of the festival DOK Leipzig 2019 is the film "Exemplary Behaviour" from Lithuania. He received the Golden Dove, the Prize of the Interreligious Jury and the Prize of the Jury of International Film Critics.
The Iranian film "Tehran: City of Love" won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Miskolc in 2019. The Emeric Pressburger Prize for Best Picture went to the Latin American production "Monos".

"A Hidden Life" by Terrence Malick has won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Cannes 2019. The Golden Palm went to "Parasite" by South Korean film director Bong Joon-Ho.
The Ecumenical Jury has awarded its 1500 € prize to the dance film "NoirBLUE" by Ana Pi. The Grand Prix of the City of Oberhausen went to "I Got My Things and Left" by Philbert Aimé Mbubazi Sharangabo.
With the motto "50 years of freedom, 50 years of openness, 50 years of film", the Festival Visions du Réel celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2019.
"Compañeros - La noche de 12 años" (A Twelve Years Long Night) by Álvaro Brechner from Uruguay won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Friborg in 2019. The Grand Prix of the festival went to "The Good Girls"
by Alejandra Márquez Abella from Mexico.
"God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya" is the winner of the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in the International Competition. The jury awarded prizes in the Panorama and the Forum as well.
The Film Festival Max Ophuels Prize, dedicated to young German speaking cinema, in 2019 celebrated its 40th anniversary. The Prize of the Ecumenical Jury was won by the film "The Melancholy Girl" by Susanne Heinrich.
The Iranian film "Orange Days" won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the 67th International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg.
