Anne-Cécile Antoni (*1954) is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and holds a degree in Catholic theology from the University of Strasbourg. She was President of ACAT-France (Action by Christians for the Abolition of Torture) and representative of the International Federation of ACAT to the Council of Europe, then a member of the National Consultative Commission on Human Rights (CNCDH) and of the jury for the Human Rights Prize of the French Republic. Currently General Secretary of the Chrétiens et Cultures association, she is co-organiser of the Montpellier Christian Film Festival and runs the "Cinema and Spirituality" days.

Current issues

Following the promising nominations, the Oscar ceremony felt like a disappointment. For the first time, the Academy had nominated international films such as “Sentimental Value” from Norway and “Secret Agent” from Brazil in the Best Picture category. Yet in the end, it was American productions that walked away with all the awards.
