Lea Wohl von Haselberg (*1984) is a professor of Jewish Film and Audiovisual Media at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, where she is currently establishing the eponymous research and transfer Centre for Jewish Film and Audiovisual Memory. She serves as the programme director of the Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg (JFBB). She holds a PhD from Hamburg University. Her work includes co-publishing the magazine "Jalta. Positions on the Jewish Present," leading several research projects as well as the Memory Media Lab at the Film University, and curating the exhibition "In and out of focus" on Jewish filmmakers in West Germany at the Jewish Museum Frankfurt (2023/24). Her research focuses on Jewish film history and German cinema.

Following the promising nominations, the Oscar ceremony felt like a disappointment. For the first time, the Academy had nominated international films such as “Sentimental Value” from Norway and “Secret Agent” from Brazil in the Best Picture category.
