Katja Bury (*1983) studied German language and literature at the University of Stuttgart and school music at the State University of Music Trossingen. This was followed by initial internships and assistantships at the Stuttgart State Opera and an engagement as an assistant dramaturge at the Braunschweig State Theatre. From 2012 to 2019, she was dramaturge for music theatre at the Stadttheater Bern. From 2019 to 2024, she studied theology in Bern and Zurich and is currently completing her trainee vicariate in the parish of Wohlen near Bern. She will take up her first pastorate near Bern in 2025. She is passionate about the connection between church and culture and is committed to Interfilm Switzerland (jury participation in 2021 and 2022 for the Prix Célestine at the Human Rights Film Festival Zurich).
