Inga Puriņa (*1968) ist Projektkoordinatorin im lettischen Büro der Lutheran Hour Ministries, wo sie sich auf kulturelle und PR-Initiativen konzentriert und außerdem norwegische Belletristik ins Lettische übersetzt. Sie hat einen Master-Abschluss in Kreativem Schreiben und einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Kommunikationswissenschaften. Zu ihren beruflichen Stationen zählen leitende Positionen im Büro des Nordischen Ministerrats in Lettland und im Informationszentrum der Vereinten Nationen in Lettland sowie Tätigkeiten im Journalismus und Dolmetschen. Sie interessiert sich seit langem für Film und Kino als Medien mit sozialer Wirkung und zum Erzählen von Geschichten. In den Jahren 2024 und 2025 organisierte sie das Kinoforum „And the Word Became a Film” in Riga.

The Hof Film Festival is now in its 58th year and has become a hallmark of the city, which is why Hof likes to call itself the “Home of Films,” a phrase that is said to have originated with Wim Wenders. In the late 1960s and 1970s, the Munich film scene came to Hof (...). As a nostalgic reminder, this year there was a 35mm screening of Fassbinder's early work “Gods of the Plague”.
