A film about a noise rock drummer who suddenly loses his hearing has been awarded an unofficial prize at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2019.
"A Tale of Three Sisters" by Emin Alper wins the first World Cinema Exchange Award in Amsterdam. The World Cinema Amsterdam Film Festival promotes films from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

At the Ecumenical Reception at the Berlinale 2017 the Ecumenical Jury will be presented. Speakers are Bishop Dr. Gebhard Fürst for the Catholic Church, Pastor Dr. Johann Hinrich Cloaussen for the Evangelical Church and Amir Esfandiari from the Film Festival in Teheran as guest.
