Anne-Béatrice Schwab, married, mother of 5 children and grandmother of 5 grandchildren, e has studied law at the Université de Lausanne and practiced as judge for adults and since 1995 for children. Since 1998 she is member of the Organe cantonal de contrôle des films (OCCF) at Lausanne and since 2012 of the Commission nationale du film (CNF) which determine the ages for the admission of children in the cinema in Switzerland. Member of the board of the Cercle d’études cinématographiques of Lausanne and articles in the magazine Cinefeuilles (2000 – 2020).

Following the promising nominations, the Oscar ceremony felt like a disappointment. For the first time, the Academy had nominated international films such as “Sentimental Value” from Norway and “Secret Agent” from Brazil in the Best Picture category. Yet in the end, it was American productions that walked away with all the awards.
Film director Selma Vilhunen has won the Church Media Foundation’s 2026 prize for her documentary film 'Gate to Paradise' (Portti Paratiisiin).
