At the 75th Locarno Film Festival, the awards were presented. The Ecumenical Jury awarded its prize to "The Tale of the Purple House" (Hikayat elbeit elorjowani) by Abbas Fahdel (Lebanon, Iraq, France 2022), a "figurative Noah's Ark in times of the Flood", as the director says. The jury also awarded a Special Mention to "Tengo sueños eléctricos" by Valentina Maurel (Belgium, France, Costa Rica 2022). The film also received three festival awards: a Leopard for Best Director, Best Actress (Daniela Marín Navarro) and Best Actor (Reinaldo Amien Gutiérrez). The Golden Leopard went to the Brazilian film "Regra 34" (Rule 34) by Julia Murat. The Fipresci Prize of the Jury of International Film Critics was awarded to "Stone Turtle" (Malaysia, Indonesia 2022) by Ming Jin Woo.
