Luebeck

The 67th Nordic Film Days Luebeck will open on 5 November with ‘The Last Viking’ (Den sidste viking, Denmark, Sweden 2025) by Anders Thomas Jensen. The director became known for ‘Adam's Apples’ (Adams æbler, Denmark 2005), featuring again Mads Mikkelsen in one of the leading roles. The retrospective, entitled ‘Magic Lights and Enchanting Colours', explores the influence of painting on Nordic cinema. The festival's Honorary Award is given to the Norwegian film director Bent Hamer (Eggs, 1995; Kitchen Stories, 2003; 1001 Grams, 2014, and others).

The INTERFILM Jury, founded in 1996, will award its prize of €5,000, donated by the Evangelical Lutheran Church District of Luebeck-Lauenburg, to a film from the feature film competition.
