The Venice Film Festival 2025 will open on August 27 with Paolo Sorrentino's “La grazia.” The film is part of the international competition, which will also feature new works by Oliver Assayas, Noah Baumbach, Kathryn Bigelow, Guillermo del Toro, Ildiko Enyedi, Jim Jarmusch, Yorgos Lanthimos, François Ozon, and others. The INTERFILM jury will award a prize to a film for promoting interreligious dialogue. It will also consider films from the festival's second competition section, Orizzonti. In addition, films will be screened in the Out of Competition and Venice Classics sections. New this year is the Venice Spotlight section, which will present ten films that stand out for their innovation and creativity.
