Documentary "Do No Harm" wins church film prize at the Tampere Film Festival
Film directors Satu Majava and Joel Tainio have won the Church Media Foundation Award with their film «Do No Harm». The documentary was awarded in the domestic competition of the Tampere Film Festival 2024.

"State Legislature", a film by the celebrated American filmmaker Frederick Wiseman, has won the John Templeton Foundation Special Prize worth 5’000 Swiss Francs, at the International Film festival "Visions du Réel", 20-26 April, in Nyon, Switzerland.

The Locarno Film Festival is not Cannes. There are no red carpets and grand entries and no photographers vying for the attention of stars. In fact, stars are not the highlight of the event. Actors and actresses—many of them famous — do attend the Locarno festival but manage to blend into the crowd and not create commotion. Unlike Cannes, the festival screenings are open to the public.
