Tamas Novak (*1974)  graduated in law and history in Budapest in 1999. Initially, he was a cook and a policeman, and later worked as a speechwriter. He and his friends founded a creative studio in 2002 to produce investigative journalism and documentary films. Over the last 20 years he has produced and directed more than 40 documentaries and feature films. He has served as a jury member at international film festivals including the Prix Europa in Berlin and the FIPADOC festival in Biarritz.

Following the promising nominations, the Oscar ceremony felt like a disappointment. For the first time, the Academy had nominated international films such as “Sentimental Value” from Norway and “Secret Agent” from Brazil in the Best Picture category. Yet in the end, it was American productions that walked away with all the awards.
"Olmo" by Mexican writer and director Fernando Eimbcke wins the Youth Film Award of the Swedish Church and INTERFILM at the 43rd Children and Youth Film Festival in Malmö 2026.
