Suzana Kokalj (*1987) studied art history at the Faculty of Art/Ljubljana and video production at the Institute and Academy of Multimedia/Ljubljana in. She has worked as a curator in an art gallery and on various projects in film production. She has been working with Studio Siposh since 2022. Her passion is screenwriting: in 2022 she was part of a Writers' Room on Slovenian television POP TV. In 2022 she received a special prize at the Hypewriter Pitching Forum and presented her project at the TV Beats Co-Financing Market at the 26th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Suzana is also the co-founder of #FLIF, an independent short film festival in Tržič, Slovenia.

Current issues

"Little Trouble Girls" by Urška Djukić won the 10th Faith in Film Award at the Tromsø International Film Festival 2026. An Honourable Mention was awarded to "The Little Sister" by Hafsia Herzi.
"Defiant" by director Visa Koiso-Kanttila wins the Prize of the Church Media Foundation in Finland at the International Chidren's and Youth Festival in Oulu 2025.
