Mladen Aleksic studied orthodox theology at the University of Belgrade and completed his master's degree with the thesis "Cinematography as the language of preaching the Gospel". He was assistant director of the documentary-fictional television series "Liturgy" and directed the two short films "User is Currently Unavailable" (2009) and "Mirroring" (2013). He is a member of the Religion News Association (RNA) and the World Association for Christian Communication (WACC).
