Maria Dobre (*1994) is a Bucharest-based cultural project coordinator with experience in developing cinema programmes for children and young audiences. She coordinated film education initiatives within the Transilvania International Film Festival, designing workshops and screenings that engage young viewers, and led “Ora de Cinema” (Cinema Class), a national programme integrating film education into schools. She holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights and a Bachelor’s degree in Law, and she is trained in Art Cinema Management (CICAE). Her work focuses on connecting audiences with cinema as both an artistic and educational experience. In 2024, she was a jury member at Boovie, a local festival for book-to-film adaptations by students.

‘Northern Outskirts' (Nordrand) by Barbara Albert was the winner of the 4th European John Templeton Film Award for the year 2000. The film tells the story of two young women in Vienna who lost touch after leaving school and meet again at an abortion clinic.
INTERFILM member Hans-Martin Gutmann traces a narrative arc from his departure for the KVIFF 2026, through his work on the festival’s Ecumenical Jury and its decision on the winner, right up to his return.
