Karin Achtelstetter is General Secretary of the World Association for Christian Communication (WACC) in Toronto (Canada) She is former Director of the Lutheran World Federation and was coordinator for the Media Relations of the World Council of Churches in Geneva (Switzerland) She has graduated in theology, sociology and psychology and in 2010 she was ordained to the ministry of word and sacrament of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria (Germany). In 2011, she was conferred Doctor of Divinity (Honoris Causa) by the Academy of Ecumenical Indian Theology in Chennai (India).
