Gaëlle Courtens is a journalist specialising in religious matters. As News Editor of the Swiss monthly “Voce evangelica” and as radio reporter for the religious programs of the Italian speaking Swiss Public Broadcaster RSI, her main topics are: ecumenical and interreligious dialogue, religious freedom, secularity, religion and politics, migrations, human rights. Before that she served as Press Officer of the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy for many years. She holds a master degree in Italian Language and Literature, Sociology, Political Science at the University of Zurich (CH).

The extent to which the documentary film has evolved was once again evident this year at DocFest Sheffield (10–15 June 2026). The classic ideal of Direct Cinema or Cinéma Vérité has given way to a wide variety of cinematic possibilities. Report by Peter Paul Huth.
