Eduardo Möking (*1993) is responsible for the catholic film and festival work at the German Bishop’s Conference. He holds a master’s degree in philosophy and linguistics from the University of Cologne and has a deep passion for philosophy of film, aesthetics and literature. Having initially pursued a career as a writer, translator and interpreter, he has previously worked as a dubbing script writer, adapting English-spoken TV series and documentaries for German television, as well as having been an editor in the field of media analysis.

The Hof Film Festival is now in its 58th year and has become a hallmark of the city, which is why Hof likes to call itself the “Home of Films,” a phrase that is said to have originated with Wim Wenders. In the late 1960s and 1970s, the Munich film scene came to Hof (...). As a nostalgic reminder, this year there was a 35mm screening of Fassbinder's early work “Gods of the Plague”. Peter Paul Huth reports about the festival.
