Dietmar Schmidt, born in 1911, studied philosophy in Frankfurt am Main, Heidelberg, Rostock and London after graduating from high school (1930). 1953-1981 he was editor of the information service "epd Kirche und Film". In 1959 he published a biography of Martin Niemöller. He died in 1984 in Frankfurt am Main.

"Little Trouble Girls" by Urška Djukić won the 10th Faith in Film Award at the Tromsø International Film Festival 2026. An Honourable Mention was awarded to "The Little Sister" by Hafsia Herzi.

"Defiant" by director Visa Koiso-Kanttila wins the Prize of the Church Media Foundation in Finland at the International Chidren's and Youth Festival in Oulu 2025.
