András Bőhm (*1953) is a Hungarian film producer, whose career spans over four decades. Born to Holocaust survivors, he remains a committed member of the Jewish community, notably active at the Dohány Street Synagogue in Budapest. He started as a movie maker in the 1970s, quickly establishing himself through collaborations with Hungary’s most acclaimed directors, including Miklós Jancsó, Károly Makk, and Márta Mészáros. His work reflects a deep engagement with both artistic excellence and cultural heritage. Following the political transition of the early 1990s, Bőhm played a key role in reshaping the Hungarian film industry, advocating for structural reform and creative renewal. His recent documentary on Rabbi Sándor Scheiber - mentor to a new generation of Hungarian rabbis - stands as a testament to his enduring commitment to cultural memory and cinematic storytelling.
