The Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the 15th World Film Festival Montreal in 1991 went to ‘Sensu no seishun’ (War and Youth, Japan 1991) by Tadashi Imai. The jury also gave an Commendation to ‘Számüzöttek’ (Homeless, Hungary, Germany, Soviet Union 1991) by Imre Gyöngyössy, Barna Kabay and Katalin Petényi. The Grand Prix des Amériques went to ‘Salmonberries’ by Precy Adlon, and the Grand Prix spécial of the festival jury was awarded to ‘Nord’ by Xavier Beauvois, which also won the International Film Critics’ Prize (Fipresci).
