Stefan Hassels (born 1971) is the managing director of Matthias-Film, a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting films that offer young people, in particular, a positive outlook on life. Previously, he held various roles in the media sector: at the Rheinischer Merkur media group, he was responsible for marketing and distribution of the film magazine Filmdienst, whilst at the Gemeinschaftswerk der Evangelischen Publizistik (GEP) he held the same position, overseeing epd-Film.
