Olimpia Melinte is a Romanian actress, both on the stage and in film. She studied acting and has a master degree in Dramatic Arts from the Arts University "George Enescu" (Iasi). Olimpia has appeared on the stage of the National Theatre in Iasi in many theatre productions. Her first film role in “Cele ce plutesc” (Floating Things, Mircea Daneliuc, 2010) landed her two nominations at the Gopo Awards (Best Actress, Young Hope category). Her next film "Sette opere di misericordia" (Seven Acts of Mercy, Massimiliano & Gianluca de Serio, 2011) earned high praise from critics, was awarded in film festivals like Locarno and brought her an acting award (Bobbio, Italy). Other films are “Killing Time” (Florin Piersic Jr, 2012) and “Canibal” (Manuel Martín Cuenca, 2013), shown on the festivals like Toronto and San Sebastian. She is member of SIGNIS since 2022.

Current issues
