Dr. Johan Roeland (*1977) is a theologian and anthropologist of religion at the Faculty of Religion & Theology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He also serves as a professor at the Remonstrant Seminary, the edu-cational institute of the Remonstrants, a Dutch liberal Protestant church. His research interests include lived religion and everyday culture, media, popular culture and religion, and theology as design. Johan is a member of the INTERFILM Board since 2022.
