Mariángeles Almacellas holds a doctorate in Philosophy and Education Sciences (UCM) and a degree in Hispanic Philology. She graduated in theological education, writes as a film critic, is an expert in virtue education through film and vice-president of SIGNIS Spain. She is author of several books and articles on education and film.

The 2026 Oscar Winners
Following the promising nominations, the Oscar ceremony felt like a disappointment. For the first time, the Academy had nominated international films such as “Sentimental Value” from Norway and “Secret Agent” from Brazil in the Best Picture category. Yet in the end, it was American productions that walked away with all the awards.
