Gereon Terhorst, born in Bielefeld in 1990, studied theology in Münster and London. After completing his vicariate in Bad Lippspringe (Paderborn), he is now a research assistant at the Faculty of Protestant Theology at the WWU Münster. He is writing his dissertation in the field of liturgy and film (working title: The Eucharist in 21st century film - a liturgical reflection). He is a member of the board of Interfilm Germany. He also publishes film reviews on Instagram under @kinopfarrer.

At the 57th film festival Visions du Réel in Nyon the Interreligious Jury has awarded its Prize to the documentary "Dentro" by Elsa Amiel.
Jacqueline Jansen’s ‘Sechswochenamt’ won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the achtung berlin 2026 film festival. The jury awarded a Special Mention to Katrin Sikora’s documentary ‘Schwarze Häuser’.
