Dragonland

1997

The film depicts, in a sensitive and dramatically compelling manner, how a young computer expert is confronted with unresolved questions from his childhood and youth following the death of his father. At the same time, the film highlights the difficulties of finding one’s bearings in a media-saturated and globalised culture. With *Drachenland*, Florian Gärtner has succeeded in creating a multi-layered and stylistically coherent exploration of important contemporary issues.
