Opening film: "La venue de l'avenir" (Cédric Klapisch)
The Cinefest Miskolc 2025 opens on September 5 with "La venue de l'avenir" (Colours of Time, France, Belgium, 2025) by Cédric Klapisch, a comedy set at the end of the 19th century and the present time. The festival is composed by the international competition of long feature films, the Open Eye section with outstanding films of the last year, the CineNewWva competition for animation and short films from Hungary, long documentaries in Cinedocs, and historical films in CineClassics. Director Péter Tímár and actor Róbert Koltai are honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award, and Norwegian director Erik Poppe receives the Ambassador of European Cinema Award.
