Lilly Schaack (*1992) is a pastor at St. Peter’s Church Lübeck, a church in the heart of the city focusing on new and experimental ways of ‘being a church’ and offering a space for cultural and artistic events. Before starting her job as a pastor in Lübeck, Lilly worked at the EU office of the German Protestant Church in Brussels, Belgium. She originally studied theology, English and education in Kiel, Berlin and Durham (UK). She is particularly interested in the intersection of religion, society, art and politics, as well as storytelling and the question of truth. Being a movie enthusiast, the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck 2024 are her first jury membership.

The Hof Film Festival is now in its 58th year and has become a hallmark of the city, which is why Hof likes to call itself the “Home of Films,” a phrase that is said to have originated with Wim Wenders. In the late 1960s and 1970s, the Munich film scene came to Hof (...). As a nostalgic reminder, this year there was a 35mm screening of Fassbinder's early work “Gods of the Plague”. Peter Paul Huth reports about the festival.
