Barbora Cihelková works as a journalist for the national daily Právo. She graduated in film studies at Charles University in Prague and Czech studies at the Silesian University in Opava. During her studies, she focused on film spirituality and the sacred dimension of the audiovisual media. The main object of her interest became the films of the 1960s (the so-called Czech New Wave), which she viewed from the perspective of theological hermeneutics and Christian ethics. For years she worked as a journalist for the daily Lidové noviny. Since 2019, she has been working in the daily Právo, where she focuses on culture, education and interviews.
