Ágoston Gőbel, born 1986 in Budapest, grew up in Miskolc, where he graduated from a secondary school with a specialization in literature and drama. At university, he studied Hungarian language and literature as well as film aesthetics, and later began writing as a journalist, often focusing on film-related topics. He has served as a jury member at several youth and religious/sacred-themed film festivals and regularly moderates roundtable discussions. For the past twelve years, he has been the editor and presenter of the film magazine of the Hungarian Catholic Radio, where he enjoys exploring topics related to Eastern Europe and issues affecting young people. He was the church communications officer for the International Eucharistic Congress held in Budapest in 2021. Within the Catholic Church, he has been involved in organizing youth festivals and programs for twenty years and considers the fostering of ecumenical relations particularly important. His favorite subjects are sacred and youth films.
