The Child
Directed by:
2026

The film addresses one of the most sensitive issues of human existence in contemporary society. Having a child and raising a family is a desire of many people. When a couple fails to fulfill this dream, it plunges them into a deep crisis and places a strain on their trust in themselves and one another. The film raises important ethical questions about the boundaries between the possibilities of reproductive medicine and the limitations of human nature, and the need to come to terms with the tensions between reality and longing. Drawing upon a compelling cinematic language the film brings out the characters’ complex emotions in a bold yet tender manner. Their struggles lead them to find a new purpose in life that brings fulfilment and hope.
