The truck driver Pávek, short and fat, and his co-driver Otik, tall and thin, are an unlikely pair. They live in a Czech village ‘at the end of the world’. Because Otik is slightly mentally disabled, his colleague Pávek and the villagers worry about the simple-minded fool. When Otik decides to move to the capital Prague on his own after a quarrel with Pávek, everyone realises what they would lose with his departure. Everyone tries to persuade Otik to stay in his village – in his sweet home.
