The directors enter enemy territory: the Israeli filmmakers observe the everyday life of three Palestinian widows and their children in a house in Hebron. Surrounded by the Israeli army, the women try to preserve remnants of dignity and self-determination. We admire the courage with which the authors subvert the traditional images of the enemy. On a high journalistic level, their film opens our eyes to the reality behind the daily flood of news - and it shows that peace is sometimes only a snowball's throw away.

In just ten minutes, the film unfolds the entire panorama of African-American culture: from slavery to jazz music. Drawing, colours and music flow together into an impressive stream of images.
