Having experienced the loss of a killed brother, director Audrius Mickevi?ius went to the Lukišk?s prison to examine the paradox of "exemplary behaviour". Mickevi?ius met Rimantas and Rolandas, sentenced to life but driven by the hope of change. Mickevi?ius himself experienced the journey from anger to forgiveness, which was interrupted by his terminal disease.

62nd International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film
The winner of the festival DOK Leipzig 2019 is the film "Exemplary Behaviour" from Lithuania. He received the Golden Dove, the Prize of the Interreligious Jury and the Prize of the Jury of International Film Critics.
