Die Wespe

2003
Zoe, a single mum, is broke and her kids are hungry. She bumps into Dave, a bloke she used to fancy, who doesn't know she's a mum. When he asks her out, she lies about having kids, and leaves them outside the pub. Nearby a bin attracts wasps looking for food.

Poverty, motherhood, the hope of a better life, this is what "WASP" is about. In a funny and exciting way the film gives shape to these explosive issues. Shot in Dogma-style, "WASP" derives its strength from excellent acting, a thrilling soundtrack and its convincing plot structure.

Festivals

In 2004, the festival celebrated its 50th anniversary. In an anniversary program, among others church winners of past festivals were shown.
