Raffl

Franz Raffl, a smallholder deep in debt, stumbles upon the hiding place of Andreas Hofer, for whose capture a substantial bounty has been offered. During an interrogation, Raffl reveals the hiding place. Without ever receiving the promised reward, Raffl is now being hunted. He narrowly escapes the attempts on his life. After his farm is seized, Raffl is driven out of the village. In a strange town, he struggles to make a living as a day labourer in a toll and weigh house.
