Isa Hesse-Rabinovitch brings the ghosts of the Grand Hotel in Brissago back to life. In the once-magnificent, now dilapidated building, the ghosts of the writers Tucholsky, Kästner, Mehring, Ball and Ringelnatz, the composer Leoncavallo, the singers Caruso and Tauber, the politicians Briand and Stresemann, soldiers and refugees meet today’s guests: the architect Mario Botta, the poet Jo Mihaly, Angelo Conti Rossini, the conductor Graziano Mandozzi, the singer La Lupa, as well as gypsy musicians, actors and staff.
