"Lara", directed by Jan-Ole Gerster, won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Karlovy Vary 2019. The Crystal Globe, the main prize of the festival, was awarded to "The Father" by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov from Bulgaria.
The Ecumenical Jury at the Molodist Film Festival in Kiev in 2019 awarded three prizes. Their choices for Best Feature-Length Film was "Systemsprenger" by Nora Fingscheidt (Germany 2019), ...
"Psychobitch" by Martin Lund (Norway) has won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Zlín 2019. The jury awarded a Commendation to "Rocca Changes the World" by Katja Benrath (Germany), with three other awards the most successful film of the festival.
"A Hidden Life" by Terrence Malick has won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Cannes 2019. The Golden Palm went to "Parasite" by South Korean film director Bong Joon-Ho.
The Ecumenical Jury has awarded its 1500 € prize to the dance film "NoirBLUE" by Ana Pi. The Grand Prix of the City of Oberhausen went to "I Got My Things and Left" by Philbert Aimé Mbubazi Sharangabo.
With the motto "50 years of freedom, 50 years of openness, 50 years of film", the Festival Visions du Réel celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2019.
"Compañeros - La noche de 12 años" (A Twelve Years Long Night) by Álvaro Brechner from Uruguay won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Friborg in 2019. The Grand Prix of the festival went to "The Good Girls"
by Alejandra Márquez Abella from Mexico.
"God Exists, Her Name Is Petrunya" is the winner of the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in the International Competition. The jury awarded prizes in the Panorama and the Forum as well.
The Film Festival Max Ophuels Prize, dedicated to young German speaking cinema, in 2019 celebrated its 40th anniversary. The Prize of the Ecumenical Jury was won by the film "The Melancholy Girl" by Susanne Heinrich.
The Iranian film "Orange Days" won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the 67th International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg.
"Ayka" by Sergei Dvortsevoj won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the 28th Film Festival Cottbus 2018. The film by the Kazakh director also received the main prize of the festival.
This year the Nordic Film Days celebrated their 60th anniversary. The INTERFILM jury awarded the Church Film Prize which is endowed with 5000.- € to "Woman at War", directed by Benedikt Erlingsson from Iceland.
The Interreligious Jury at DOK Lepzig 2018 has awarded their prize of 2500 € to "I Had a Dream" by Claudia Tosi, who has also won the Golden Dove of the International Festival Jury and the Prize of International Film Critics.
The Ecumenical Jury at the 34th International Film Festival Warsaw has awarded its prize to the Bulgarian competition entry "Irina".
The Ecumenical Jury at SCHLINGEL 2018 awarded its Prize to Nora Twomey's animated film "The Breadwinner" and a Commendation to "Meerkat and Moon Rocket" by Hanneke Schutte, who also received the award of the Saxon State Media Authority.
"The Guilty" by Danish director Markus Möller, won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the 15th Jameson Cinefest in Miskolc, as well as the main award of the festival, the Emeric Pressburger Prize.
"Tel Aviv On Fire" by Sameh Zoabi is the winner of the 8th. INTERFILM Award for Promoting Interreligious Dialogue at the film festival in Venice 2018. The Golden Lion went to "Roma" by Alfonso Cuarón.
The Ecumenical Jury at the 71st Locarno Festival awarded its Prize to "Sibel", directed by Guillaume Giovanetti und Çağla Zencirci. The Golden Leopard awarded by the international festival jury went to "A Land Imagined", directed by Yeo Siew Hua from Singapore.
The Israeli film "Geula" (Redemption), directed by Joseph Admony and Boaz Yehonatan Yakov, is the winner of the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Karlovy Vary 2018. The Crystal Globe, the main prize of the festival, went to the Romanian competition entry " I Do Not Care If We Go Down in History as Barbarians" by Radu Jude.
The Ecumenical Jury at Molodist 2018 has awarded its prizes in the three international competition sections: to "Retablo" (full length films), "Petites filles" (short films) and "The Moment" (student films).
"Supa Modo" is the winner of the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Zlín 2018. The Kenyan-German co-production also won the Golden Slipper, the main award of the festival.
Nadine Labaki's "Capharnaüm" won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the Festival de Cannes 2018. The Golden Palm went to "Shoplifters", directed by Kore-eda Hirokazu.
At the International Short Film Days 2018 the Ecumenical Jury awarded its Prize to the Chinese film "Magnificent Obsession". The Grand Prize of the City of Oberhausen went to "Dėmės ir įbrėžimai" (Stains and Scratches") from Latvia.
At Visions du Réel 2018, the Interreligious Jury has awarded its Prize of 5.000 CHF to "Almost Nothing" by Anna de Manincor and ZimmerFrei. "O Processo" (The Trial) by Maria Augusta Ramos won the festival's main award, the Sesterce d'Or.
"Foxtrot" by Israeli director Samuel Maoz has won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the International Film Festival Fribourg 2018.
The German competition entry "In the Aisles" by Thomas Stuber has won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury. The film also received the Gilde Film Award from the German Arthouse Cinemas.
"Landrauschen" (The Murmur of the Country) has won the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the 39th Film Festival Max Ophuels Prize. The festival is dedicated to young German speaking cinema.
At the 66th International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg the prizes have been awarded. The winner of the prize of the Ecumenical Jury is "Une vie ailleurs" (Life Beyond Me), directed by Olivier Peyon.
12 films form Eastern Europe are screened in the competition of the 27th FilmFestival Cottbus. Among them, the Ecumenical Jury chooses its winner.
On November 1, the 59th Nordic Film Days opened in Luebeck. Since 1996 the INTERFILM Jury awards the Church Film Prize of 5000.- €.
