Rainer Werner Fassbinder: Angst essen Seele auf

On September 30th, 2014, the Criterion Collection, one of the most distinguished DVD labels, has released a new edition of Rainer Werner Fassbinder's "Ali: Fear Eats the Soul" on DVD and Blue-Ray. Fassbinder tells the socio-critical and anti-racist story of an older widow falling in love with a much younger Arab worker from Marocco, both being harassed by their family and social milieu in Germany's seventies. The film won the Prize of the first Ecumenical Jury in Cannes in 1974.
